Nikon
Nikon had a perception problem: most people thought its cameras were only for professional photographers and photojournalists. The cameras had big lenses and were complicated-looking. Then along came the Nikon N50-- the first camera that focused on the person behind it. The N50 had an auto-adjust mode, for people who didn't want to bother with all the technicalities, as well as an advanced mode, for people who did. Either way, the result was a great picture. Now everyone, even the most unknowledgeable photographers, could take great shots.
